My rant is about web developers. I seemed to be burned by them.

I've had accounts tossed out. Reset logins even though I use Roboform.

Poor web design.

The recent one is with Trac Phone. There is a place to put CC cards in for auto billing. When the card is about to expire or expired it is not user friendly. If you have more than one card and it expires then it should charge the other card you would think since you can put multiple cards in your account. What's even odd is when I googled about replacing a card on Trac Phone's site the first page searches doesn't even go to their site.

This thread could never end with my back luck with changes to websites. Web pages are now designed for cell phone surfers. Look at Netlix. My other rant is IKMM's site. Soon as you there a video blasts in your face. Another one I hate is not knowing a price until it's in your cart. Then instead of back spacing you have to clear and start over.

If you are really bad at developing for the web you can usually get a job for a government or education institution. Those are the worst. It's like going to Home Depot and looking very hard for nails.

As for Apple - that one is interesting on what the consider a secure ID. It's all about the amount of characters.

The other thing I loath is a website's bitterness towards download managers. I've had to email many times on a purchase to have it reset because I used a download manager. The ones integrated into browsers suck.
Today users of Tracktion still can't access their account. Lost password link did not work for a few days.

If anyone ever remember's Bud Light Real Men of Genius - there's one to write about web developers.

Home Depot has nails now?
(Can I download them from their website?)

This is a great thread for the fist day of the year!
All is gloom.

Does this win the award for first rant of 2016?

I agree on the IKM site.  I picked up the TS3 and ST3 packages last week.  I love the software so far.  Downloads have been solid.  Auth Mgr is flawless.  TONS of gigabytes of sounds that are very cool so far.

Getting it all downloaded has meant many visits to their web site.  Having that annoying vid pop up EVERY time is as annoying as hades is hot.

Other than that though, I have to say the whole IKM experience has been very positive, including the web site interactions.

I hate music software sites that refuse to tell you how much a product costs without making you first pretend to buy it.

Hi,

Web design is out of control and needs rules ... too many things opening at the same time are ruining the ability to browse the internet. It's stupid!

Places like Cakewalk, PA and others, are OK with me. I do think that the folks within the program itself would help themselves a lot more if they were actually involved instead of omnipotent, and it would prevent a lot of little errors and silly stuff that is not necessary.

Other than that ... all good, mostly because the issue is the actual "fans" whose perspective, sometimes, leaves a lot to be desired. Can't live with them and can't live without them!

I hate when websites remain badly designed for a long time because nobody at the company seems to have even logged on and taken a look, let alone fix it. There's a local news site I visit which, ever since a redesign, has this huge floating menu bar at the top. Only they didn't take it into account when positioning the actual news so that half of the main headline is hidden under it. It's been like that for almost 2 years and not one of the idiots has made an attempt to put it right. This isn't just some minor cosmetic glitch that nobody will notice - you can't even read the main headline of the page.

My other pet hate is large sites which have illogical navigation and/or a poorly designed page hierarchy so you can't find the section you want without randomly groping around until you stumble upon it by accident.
