Following the excent footage of "Victorian Brickwork" Big Big Train have posted "Judas Unrepentant" from the same concert.

I really want to see this band live!

Less welcome is the delay in the release of "Stone and Steel" but I am sure it will be well worth the wait.

The release of "Stone and Steel", originally planned for this year, will now happen on 7th March 2016. Alongside nine songs and documentary footage filmed at Real World in 2014, we have decided to include four songs from the Kings Place gigs this year, and to mix all performances in 5.1 as well as stereo. It hasn't proved possible to complete this work in time for a pre-Christmas release.

Given a total running time which will approach three hours, we've also taken the decision to release "Stone and Steel" on Blu-Ray only to ensure the highest quality video and audio. It will also be available as a paid download via Vimeo.

Wonderful song, fantastic chorus. The film is incredibly sharp and detailed, look at those drums!

That was very enjoyable - thanks for posting!

Although I think they probably need another keyboardist...  I mean, when are three ever enough???

I watched that the other night. Kudos to them for trying to play all the layered parts 'live' without flying in backing tracks, by using split keyboard sounds etc. Complicated stuff...

Did you ask Tangerine Dream that question? They would say ... not enough!

Interesting visit to BBT's website. Read an interview with David Longden, seems it came down to either Ray Wilson or him to replace to Phil Collins in Genesis. He lost out to Wilson (who did the 'Calling All Stations' album and tour in '97) after 3 hours of auditioning old tunes in the studio (with Collins vocals removed) and improvising over new material. High pressure stuff I would imagine.

I see Nick D'Virgilio played drums on a few tracks on Calling All Stations.

Intresting comment for the David Longden interview. (this was in 2010)

Have you ever met the drummers, Nir Z and Nick D’Virgilio?
No, I've not met or spoken with either of them. Oddly enough, I've been involved with four projects now that feature Nick D'Virgilio (Genesis, Martin Orford and two Big Big Train releases). We've never met each other. However, we will be meeting each other on the 28th Dec 2010 when we'll be working on drum tracks for English Electric the next Big Big Train album. I guess that's what it's like being a musician in a band in the 21st century.

A considerably more hairy Dave Gregory being interviewed in 2012
