HP Envy 7, SPLAT, Focusrite Scarlet 18i20.

Is there a way to do a real time mixdown of my tracks to a stereo track within the project. Kind of like analog ping pong recording.
Instead of routing to multiple buses just to route all the tracks to a stereo track within the project.
Let's say tracks 1-8 have drums, tracks 9&10 are rhythm guitars, track 11 is bass guitar, and tracks 12, 13, and 14 are vocals. I have all the plugins in their respective tracks effects bins, all editing done. Then how do I route the tracks' signals to make a stereo track within the project? Like track 15 would be the stereo track in the above example.
Do I need an external mixing board? Or is this something I could do with my Focusrite interface alone? I am batting zero trying this technique. Feeling pretty stupid as I suspect this is something easy that I should already know.
Is it just uncheck Fast Bounce and check Audible Bounce? Is it that I do not have the routing set up correctly?
I would like to be able to see the wave file being created in track 15 (using the above example) when I click the record button. Similar to analog ping pong recording.

Do you want a physical WAV file of what you've got, or just one buss that has everything routed to it that will reflect changes on the fly?
If you want everything routed to one stereo track/bus, standard practice is to route everything to eventually go to a single buss titled "Master."  If a track goes to another buss, that buss should output to the Master.  If a track doesn't go to a buss or aux, route it directly to that Master Buss.  That Master Buss can also create an on-the-fly WAV form, there's a button on the track controls in Track View that enable this feature.
If you want the WAV file, you should still set up a Master Buss, then select Bounce To Track, and ensure that you have selected the Master Buss, and bounce it.  That will give you a WAV file on a new track reflecting your current work.

Oh yeah, I have used the preview wave button. Usually that's what I do - route tracks to buses then route buses to the Master.
Sometimes when doing a fast bounce mixdown, it sounds different after mixdown. I wanted to try a real time mixdown and see if that changes anything. Thanks for the tip - I will try the Bounce to Track. I should know this after using SPLAT for a year now. Just trying to figure out why when I fast bounce mixdown to a wave file sometimes the wave file sounds different than the project during playback.

So many times I feel like "D'uh you dummy it was right there."
I must clarify - when I do export to audio and create a wav file from the entire mix sometimes, not all the time, just sometimes, the wav file doesn't sound like the playback of the project. It was suggested to me to try mixing down in real time to a stereo track in the project. Then export to audio that stereo track.
I ha e to try the bounce to a track and see if that will work.

I'd try un-checking the "fast export" option, and see how that sounds.
Especially if it's not constant, it could be either something not routed correctly or an effect that acts strangely when it's included.

Ok, so when I uncheck Fast Bounce then do a mixdown, my PC’s mouse pointer becomes the blue circle during the entire mixdown process. Is that normal? Just curious if that happens to other people’s mouse pointer during mixdown.

That's normal
