This like many other products wasn't made to be marketed to hobbyists. This whole entitled hobbyist "everything should be made available to us as well" attitude in music production really gets under my skin sometimes. The professional market should have things that are exclusive. If people feel it's worth the money, they will pay for it. If not, the price will come down to something more affordable or the developer will eat the cost and take a loss.
Yes, it's a large library. It takes up a lot of space. The amount of detail I'm seeing in this product surpasses pretty much everything else on the market so yes, it's going to be larger in size. There are a ton of mics because the library is designed and meant to be as versatile as possible. Making a "lite" version defeats the whole purpose IMO. Plus, this is not going to change. These plugins are going to get larger and larger over time. It's the nature of the beast. As they come up with ways to make sampling deeper and more realistic, it's no surprise it will come with larger sizes. Look at libraries from 10 years ago and notice the difference in size and quality.
Here's the good news: storage these days is dirt cheap for high performance drives and SSD is coming down significantly in price as well. You may need a bigger drive. Yes, it will cost money for another one. These are expenses you get with any business on tools that are made for a professional market.
