Been a while since I have posted.
SPLAT, HP Envy 7, Focusrite Scarlet 18i20.

So, I export my audio from a project, I save the wave files to my desktop. I want to reference-so I use the CD burner utility in SPLAT. Yet, every song on the multiple CDs I have made in the past two years, at the end of every song, when the audio has stopped, there is a pop or crackle or static like sound at the end of the song. What the heck is causing this? Even if I have silence at the end of the song, it's still there. Has anyone else had this problem?
I don't hear on the files I uploaded to SoundCloud, just CDs. What is it and can you get rid of it?

A single pop, or a succession of crackles (like "static")?

If you open the file in a Wave editor do you "see" anything at the end?
If not then I would use a proper CD burning suite like Nero.

possibly related to FX tails. I typically automate my MB when mastering to avoid it.

Just one pop/crackle.

Good deal. I have Nero so I will try it.
Strange thing is that when I make CDs from iTunes, WMP no issues. Just the Sonar CD burner utility.

Clue this dummy in - what does the MB stand for?
I don't think it is FX tails.

It may be that you have some DC offset that is removed by the online services but not by your CD burner.

MB is an abbreviation for the act of self-pleasuring. The post indicates that he prefers to use a vibrator as opposed to manual jacking off.

MB I guess is Master Buss.

You've answered your question here, I imagine you'll have no issue when burning with Nero.

So solution is don't use Sonars CD burner, obviously a turkey.

As I said if you open the exported wave in a wave editor and zoom in on the ending you should see if anything is in the actual wave file. If nothing shows then the CD burner is adding the artifact somehow.
