Or try the windows magnifier. It's an "accessibility" option which means it's for folks like me who can never keep ahead of their changing lens perscriptions.

I need to look through the bottom of my glasses to see the top of the screen and I feel like my nose becomes a snorkel way up in the air. (Is he stuck up? Or is he just trying to SMELL his way around the screen? ) It's not pretty.

I keep finding features that I would like in Sonar. Today's winners are related to the timeline. I like the ability to fix the tape head (now time) and have the tracks scroll by. It really reinforces the tape deck model. The other thing I really like is when you grab the tape head and move it, a large now time pops up so you can move it precisely. All sorts of cool stuff coming out of this program.

I've enlarged the size of everything in Mixbus 3 to maximum size and while portions are huge, the mixer portion still has microscopic controls.  I hate to have blown the money on something I can't use, but at this point my time is worth more than what I spent on it.  I'll just stick to mixing and mastering in Sonar Platinum where I can actually see what everything is.

I like Mixbus just fine in it's default settings, but hopefully they will finish the Harrison control surface. They have said they are going to try and keep it under $1000. That could be a very nice rig...and it should be very easy to see.

I wouldn't worry about the Ardour heritage. If Sonar X1 had stopped at X1b I would have gone to another DAW. Thankfully most software improves with time.

There's for sure something spooky good going on with Mixbus.

I wish they would release just a Harrison EQ module that would emulate the Mixbus 3 sound.
I am happy with Sonar and Studio One for tracking and mixing but what you guys are saying about the sound has me very interested.
With a VST EQ module, it would give us the best of both worlds?

Your wish is granted...you just have to own a UAD card or interface...

That is comforting to read, (although I am still hesitant, I just fear everything going pear shaped after I install it, and then spending the next few hours banging my head on the desk "why did you do it, why . . )I have great respect for a lot of the folk here and the knowledge and experience you all have, even though I have drifted away from Sonar, this (Software and Deals) is still my favorite part of the web.

I'll take the dive soon enough, reading all the stuff people here say, and then someone up there said something about how it makes amp sims sound much better doesn't make it easy to ignore mixbus, perhaps after I deal with my latest fear, the new major Windows 10 update, I fear letting it install as well

Thanks for the info. Not easily affordable. MB3 appears to be the cheapest route.
