I just think it's amazing that there were three trilogies (i.e., nine movies) designed from the very beginning (which is why the first movie we all saw was called "Chapter 4: A New Hope") and that we're FINALLY starting on the third trilogy.  I wonder if Lucas will live long enough to see all three finished?

Lucas isn't involved anymore. In fact, he submitted a proposed story outline for Episode 7 and Disney turned it down. I guess they wondered what the hell did he know about the Star Wars universe?
