If its a plugin yes you can. Sonar supports DX, DXi, VST, VSTi plugins.

Unless you already have the Waves reverb, you might want to demo ValhallaPlate ($50) first. It's not as realistic a plate emulation, but it sounds awesome and you won't have to jump through the Waves authorization hoops.

I don't know what hoops you are referring to but I find Waves plugin installation and license managing very easy without issue.  I think they finally got it right.

Exactly, there is no issue or hoops, it's brain dead easy and straight forward. But 'Ol Fozzie just has to get one in every chance he can, he's been doing it for years, every now and then he says he is going to stop, but he just can't help himself lol

Valhalla Plate is excellent, but I don't know I would take it over Waves A/R Plates, I have both so I don't need to worry about it.

Abbey Road Plates sounds awesome but it takes a lot of CPU power

Switching the pointless animation and huge graphic of the plates off reduces the cpu load quite a bit. Same with the Abbey Road tape emulation.

thanks for pointing that out. never thought that graphics of VST could make much of a difference

The Abbey Roads plates is my favourite reverb, hooked me on Waves when I had resisted them for a while.
