Keep in mind UBK-1 requires an iLok which turns alot of people off.
Still you could probably pick up a copy a kvr for a reasonable price.

BTW Dave Derr will be introducing a new plugin from his new Empirical Labs Digital.
Not sure it will be a Fatso, Distressor, hybrid. Could be announced at this years NAMM??
I'm sure it won't be inexpensive but I'm sure it will be excellent. At least something to check out to be sure.

$199.99 for the UBK-1 is full retail. I was figuring you could pick up one pre-owned for around $70.00 or so?
He might have a Christmas holiday sale coming up. Last years Thanksgiving / BF he had a $99.00 sale.

Too bad, some of my best plugins including this uses it.

I have the (an?) iLok, but it's a PITA!
I'm moving everything I can off it.
Something would really have to "rock my world" to put up with updating it ever again.
Just my nickel98's worth.

Here's hoping soft iLok takes over. EastWest did it. Softube did it. SoundToys did it. AIR MusicTech did it.
Would like to see Slate Digital do the same.

Ditto....    I've never owned a hardware iLok, but I do the soft iLock thing with AIR/Sonivox and UVI plugins and it's been fairly painless.
