Damn right, 60 is too young. If you believe Ray Kurzweil, it won't be long before 160 is too young. But when my time comes I'll just be glad if I can go quietly on the couch. As long as I don't have something inappropriate in the DVD player at the time.

I have already started with the string and piano section on that particular song. It will be part of me processing / dealing with this. I recorded it (IIRC) in 98 or 99 originally, and on a positive note it opened without any problems in Splat.
I take that as a sign

That's sad new close to Christmas, my sympathies. At least he went the way I think most of us would prefer to go - quietly and peacefully.

Music is my best therapy on most (if not all) levels (even my wife tells me that).. Another part of the brain kicks in.
Without it, I would be even crazier...

Sorry to hear about your loss!  It's always tougher around this time of year.  My roommate got a call this afternoon that a co-worker (early 60's as well) died in his sleep last night.  60 is just too young (and only eight years away for me)!
