I just watched Pawn Sacrifice...the Bobby Fischer story. Toby Maguire did an excellent job playing the nut case and chess genius. I'm pretty familiar with the ups and downs of Fischer. I've read a lot about his life and games. To be honest those guys play at a level I can't understand, but I like to try. Anyhoo good movie.

I've read some of one of his books. Very interesting, and it may have made me a better player, but I'm still not very good.

It's been a long time since I've played a good game of chess.

I am absolutely useless at thinking multiple moves ahead in chess and so anyone with rudimentary motor skills could beat me. Although I did like that episode of Columbo where the deaf chess guy murders (or almost murders) his opponent.

Hi Clint, I'm a huge chess fan and do love to play (not all that good, but love to play). I play at chess.com (free site, but also has a membership version) and generally play 5 minute games (I like the rush of quick thinking.....lol). A lot of very good players come in there..........and I usually get my butt kicked. :)

We will make that happen. I play 3 minute chess a lot, but 5 will be fine.

I loved chess as a kid (I had one of those little handheld electronic dealies because I had no one to play with on my proper chessboard). I still do but didn't play for MANY years.
 
Now the MS Chess that came with my laptop kicks my azz after a couple levels.
