I'm still sifting thru the '16 Mega version.  My last experience with BiaB was Version 9.  I haven't scratched it much yet, but my quick entry of a coupla song ideas I have has left me inspired.  Lotsa details to iron out, but I'm jazzed and optimistic.  $99 for a prior version to Mega.
 
The only down side is that RealBand won't start without an immediate crash that requires TM intervention ... unless I leave it set to MME for audio.  WTF is RealBand, anyhow?  Is it a DAW of sorts?

And if the MegaPak wows you next year you may want to upgrade to the UltraPlusPak (more realtracks).

RealBand, RB, is a beginner's DAW IMO.  Although you can regenerate partial tracks,  Band-in-a-Box, BiaB, it's the whole track or nothing, and it does have some functions of BiaB I never use RB.  Coming from Sonar it is one giant step backwards.
