Now you've done it! I've now got an incredible urge to watch a bunch of Sergio Leone movies! Very nicely executed, top marks for guitar and harmonica!

I felt like I was watching a Clint Eastwood movie.  Before you make any drastic changes, sit on this a while.  It sounds pretty darn good as is.  The rest of your songs are pretty impressive, too.

Thanks so much everyone.  I appreciate all the supportive comments that you all provided.
After sitting on this mix  for about 1 week I made a few minor changes to help to make the ending a little better.  I'd had a few comments from various people about the  dry sound that I used on the classical guitar so I put more room sound on the solo part  and brought the harmonica back on the last verse, which helps to end it in a similar way that it started.  I'll be submitting this to a couple of opportunities in the next few weeks, so I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that they like the track.  You really never know what people are going to like so you just do your best and cross your fingers.

Thanks again everyone.

Yeah... ditto... I think you nailed the genre.

Good sounding mix.

Jim,

Great piece.  The musical production is outstanding.  To my ears, the some of the elements of the mix sounds a little dull on the upper end, mainly the orchestral pieces.   Guitar sounds good as does the whistling and harmonica.  I think it is just the orchestra that needs some brightening.  That said, as a huge fan of westerns, you definitely nailed the genre.   Love it....

do I hear some influence of Ennio Morricone here?  Really well done! I enjoyed that!

Great job.  I really like the ambience.  What did you wet your whistle with?

This could be a soundtrack for a major motion picture.  I've always been a fan of film composers like Jerry Goldsmith, Bernard Herrman, Elmer Bernstein, Alfred Newman, etc..  Because their instrumental music creates a visual picture.  This certainly did that for me!!!  It created a specific vision in my mind and that's quite an accomplishment!!  Very, very good indeed Jim!

I forgot to mention Ennio Morricone.  The granddaddy of this genre of film music. :-)
