Yep, as soon as I inserted into the track- white screen/ freeze.  It didn't work normally in Jamaica Plain either but it never froze up.
In other daws it work fine. If it's working for you there must be a conflict on my system somewhere.
 

Carl does a VST2 version of Manic Compressor get installed as well? If so, does that work?

I just tried the Manic demo again with the latest Sonar Kingston update.
The vst3 version now freezes up projects when placed on a mono track. Works fine on my other daws.

That's not encouraging. There was a fix in Kingston specifically dealing with vst3 and mono operation.
Try the vst2 and report back, please.

Yep, I install both vst2/3
Here's the deal using Manic-
Jamaica Plain: vst2 worked on mono tracks, vst3 on mono I could hear  audio slightly when selecting sides mode on Manic.
Same project after updating to Kingston: both vst2/3 freeze on mono tracks. Both vst2/3 work on stereo.
My other plugins work as before- mono or stereo with vst2 or 3
Not a huge deal, I'm switching mono tracks to stereo while I'm demoing Manic..

Boz mentioned (somewhere) he anticipated releasing updates pretty quickly in the early release cycle of this new product.  He probably needs to be informed, it may be on the plugin side in this case, since it's brand new.

I'll let him know after working with it some more.

There's an update now available to fix the mono issues when using the demo version.
This might fix the problem I was having.

Here's a vid I just recently did, which Boz shared on his FB page.  Nothing too technical or special..
 

Checked out on Laptop, it's working well on all those tracks, sounds very nice.
I went to pick up the new demo & see others left good reviews & digging Manic as well.
BTW the Black Friday sale ends tonight for anyone on the fence.

Went to his site....the Manic Compressor is nowhere to be found for purchase anymore.  hhmmm...maybe working on the mono track issue first?
