The one update I got this far was time taking but easy. But I am already waiting for a new one. I have the heavyish Honor 7 from Huawei. I meant to buy the Lumia 640 but Windows phone did not have the blue light filter app that I need when I at early morning or late night read in the dark.

One thing I wish they would put on all cell phones- a proximity alert..it could say something like, " hey bonehead look up from your phone, you're about to die"...or maybe a swift shock would do it.

Right now, I'm not liking a function of my Android 5.01. Google Play Store won't let me install or update any of my apps.......all I get is an updating/moving graphic bar showing it's updating, but nothing happens (even an hour or more later).
 
 
I haven't seen any app update notifications since possibly early November (I usually get them every few weeks or so...). I've been trying to install the latest update to Clash of Clans which came out a week ago, but still having this Play Store issue and don't really know what the solution is. I've emptied the cache/restart my phone, but all to no avail. 
 

No updates in the last few days. Almost feel as though the minute I accepted that first update, I had to go through an entire series of them.

I found out the solution was to uninstall Google Play Store and reinstall........which worked.....yaay!! It also updated everything else that hadn't been done for awhile.
 
Although I don't like that a lot of apps are linked/depend on Google Play Store, I'm somewhat subjected to use it (I  like playing Clash of Clans. :)) If it was causing major problems or was too much of a hassle to use it, I'd do exactly what you're doing Jimusic.
