I once read somewhere that Sonar is more popular in the US than it is in Europe, where people are more likely to use Cubase. However I have no recollection if that was some informed piece of information or just some kak-handed conjecture in a forum post. So it could be absolute bollocks.
It's definitely so here in Sweden. I think Sonar the last years had gained some ground and Cubase got the other way, but still, Cubase is bigger here. I say to people that don't recognice Sonar, that "Sonar is in the US what Cubase is here."
