As soon as I purchased a lifetime license, all mails ceased.

Totally the opposite for me. I used to ask all the time to be included on the list and hardly ever got any until I bought lifetime and they started straight after, the first few asking if I'd like to but lifetime updates (!)
 
CW have somehow never managed to get the whole email thing right, which you'd think would be easy for computer geeks.

I got 2 mails apparently from Cakewalk. (I have lifetime and still get mails)
 
These are legit now, are they?
OP, what happened to your machine, or is it fixed now?

I think it's supposed to read 'Made with 'heart' by Cakewalk. Or possibly 'love'.
 
Then again, I've never had an email from Cakewalk, ever.

...but both contain nothing but a link, ostensibly to unsubscribe.

Yeah, right.

There was a heart symbol between the words "with" and "by", "made with love".

There was an issue and some of us had to rejoin or contact the team to get things fixed.

Thanks. Just noticed the "Check if you would like to be subscribed to the Cakewalk Newsletter" box was unchecked in my account.
