I knew there would be a fly in the ointment somewhere. Independence has lost its licence activation after the upgrade. I am haveing a issues trying to re-authorise it. I might get to find out if Magix support is still as good as the last time I had to contact them!

The software runs fine but the pro library is the problem.

Usually a dialoque pops up and asks for the Serial #...
once the serial # has been entered it should work...

Installation and authorization issues were the reason most of us were soured on this product. I ended up deciding it wasn't worth the trouble and deleted it. But that was years ago. You'd think they'd have sorted it all out by now. I guess not.

The confusing part is you can go to one of two places. Magix or Best Service. I think mine is managed by Best Service as it predates the Magix take over. Magix seems to want codes I do not have. All my activations are used up it would seem, so I have requested clarification on what I am supposed to do and a new activation.

Same here.  It's rare that when another developer acquires another developer's work it turns out to be a positive. While even Best Service libraries with their own engine will work I avoid them just in case they don't.
I think the former Yellow Tools software is an example of a developer putting to much resources in locking down the product instead of developing it.  I remember trying 4 browsers just to get the authorization right.
I would bet the only thing Magix did was change the skins on the product. Magix had terrible support on their low end products.  Those free versions of Music Maker via CM were terrible when it comes to authorization.
