The VST simulation of the Rat in the opening post is a nice one

you know,
i had a RAT pedal, one of the originals, for about 3-4 years, while i was gigging full time..
it made my smooth boogie sound more 'ratty'......
LOL
which means, it took it more to marshall territory....
and was good for covering 80's rock tunes back then....

I had a RAT pedal when they first came out... 1979 I believe.  First pedal that made my little Fender practice amp sound half-way decent!
