Hi, Walt,

Wow, that is some really tasty smooth jazz with amazing synth work and excellent guitar from both you and Clint!

I love how well textured and crystal clear the mix is and how it takes you on a classy journey with lots of cool twists, turns and surprises.

Great stuff!  Have a good one, buddy!

The thing about coming back for a third and forth listen is that this tune has it all and gives me lots of ideas. You have really brought this piece full circle and it should inspire all to do more. Thank for this great piece of work Walt and for your great guitar addition Clint. Very, very nice!! Congrats!!

Peace and Blessings, John

I think music is all about inspiring others, so I'm glad you're finding new inspiration from this piece John.  Thanks for listening again!

Thanks so much Bob!  To be honest, the "journey" kind of just happened that way, due to my still-evolving songwriting process.  One of the things I'm finding in doing solo writing/performing is that there's nobody to play off of, so it's much harder to develop a song in the same organic way I'd previously done working in a band with other people.  It requires a lot of iteration this way, having to go back and redo earlier parts that were put in to keep time or setup the main groove, etc.  And then it's easy to go too far and lose something simple that was already cool.  Anyway, I'm still working on my "process" for synth music, but I think this one came out pretty well, and I'm glad you've enjoyed it!

You've inspired me as well with your album release, and your persistent follow-up here on the forums to promote it.  Motivation can often be hard to come by, but you always seem like you have a lot of energy, Bob.  I salute you for it.

What a wonderful track Walt, loved it. Had me transfixed from the start. Love those MF drum loops, and the addition of the 909 drum machine in the background is right up my street, I love to blend things like that. Beautiful guitar break from Clint, and the whole thing hangs together really well. Outstanding production.

Thanks James, and I'm glad you liked it!  I do need to get back to more ambient stuff though, similar to what you're doing.  It's where I really want to take my music I think.

And thank you Daryl.  It's a great sampler pack from back in the day.  Although I guess there are quite a few of those around by now.
