Not too bad, I had a quick listen through the laptop speaker and it came through really well, then I switched to my beyer headphones and its pretty spot on.  Everything comes through nicely.

Hey!

Interesting tune...I hear a lot of influences here.
I like the vox and the writing.
I'm no expert and the mix seems to have a nice "space" to it,  but for me there is too much bass guitar
and the drums are a little weak especially the snare.

Hahah..Cheerz on the Dark Roast!

I was thinking it was a bit bass heavy. But sometimes I think i lose my perspective. that is why I ask for critiques.  thanks guys!  :)

Don't just rely on one person bro!
Ben said it sounded fine.
You should wait till you get a couple more opinions before doing anything.

I agree. I asked a few friends to critique also. Since they are friends, I wonder if they are just being nice sometimes. I appreciate the forum folks who take the time to listen. I was thinking the tune was bass heavy, but it sounds differrent on differrent systems. I am thinking at this point I will probably take the bass down a tiny bit. but I will do that another day when my ears are fresh.... and I have enough coffee... :)

Hi,

Great song with a cool sounding late 70's to early 80's retro vibe!

I really like the shimmering tremolo guitar, the vocals are excellent, and the guitar solo with the harmony ending was very tasty.  It sort of reminds me of early Queensryche.

Great stuff, keep 'em coming!  Have a good one!

Great song, really liked it. Good singing too. Mix sounds good, but to my taste could have used less compression. Especially for a song like this, it would be nice to have more dynamics which get a bit lost right now. I know you'll give up a bit of loudness, but, I think that's a fair trade-off.

Thanks for taking the time to listen.
@Bob: LOL!  I guess I'm old cuz the retro vibe was unintentional.  Just where I come from, a child of the 80s!!  :)

@3D: Good suggestion, I noticed that as well, however I didn't think about too much compression. I agree, I think I may dial it down a bit.

2 things to change: dial down the low end and compression.

Thanks again for taking the time to listen. I really appreciate it!!!

I will give a tentative perspective though it should be noted that my furry ears have apparently been telling porkies to me of late if I read thing correctly.

As noted by Bob very 70's - 80' vibe throughout, the mix appears to translate well here in my control room on my Events.  Perhaps a little squished but that can be very personal.

Thanks for sharing.
