Running Producer 8.  Tried unsuccessfully to install Garritan Personal Orchestra.  Uninstalled it.  Now my metronome does not work.  Checked all the settings, still no audio when it is turned on.  Also, supposed to have 2 measure lead in when recording, now no lead in and no metronome when recording.

I know with newer versions of Sonar turning On/Off the Global FX button re engages the metronome.
-Tried opening closing the project ?
-Tried checking the routing for the Metronome bus ?
-Tried toggling the Playback metronome / the record metronome ? <- Typically this will help with 2 measure count in

Thanks for suggestions.  Closing reopening project did not help.  I am trying to figure out how to do the other things you suggested.  Manual is not much help in that regard.

My metronome issue has to be related to trying to install Garritan Personal Orchestra and they having Sonar recognize it as a VST.  That is the only variable that happened between Sonar working properly and not working properly.

Thanks, except I still have the problem.  When I reinstalled Garritan PO and set its preferences to ASIO (the only viable option) and then start Producer, it wipes out (eg not listed as an option) the ASIO choice in Producer metronome settings.  So back to no metronome if I am trying to access Garritan's plug ins in Producer. I love the way Garritan claims to be "seamless" interface.  I use their Finale software all the time, but it does not interface with any other software like Garritan is supposed to with your sequencer software.  Never had a problem with being able to access other VST's in Producer.
