I was having problems with the cakewalk plugin manager list and decided to go back to the 07 update. When I went back, there were problems with shared utilities /start screen. I just ignored the problems. After I went back to the 08 update I got the same message. Now when I open up Sonar ,I have no Start screen even after selecting it. Need Help.

Try running the 201.08 SONAR installer directly from the download directory with raised privileges.  i.e. Run as administrator. 

Already tried that. Got the same message.

A quick google of the error code indicates it could be your AV causing the problem.

Try disabling that for the period of the install.

I had a similar problem once with this I found a reboot resolved the problem

Tried to install as administrator with no luck. After that I just restarted the computer and finally got the screen back. It seems that the update was trying go give another name to part of the startscreen and that was blocked by the program.
