Was this written to accompany a video? There are so many ideas (enough for several songs) and transitions that don't make musical sense; or one could say you defy conventional expectations at every turn. It's definitely a pastiche.

J, Yes, made to accompany a video. I never make musical sense, and my wife says I never make any sense at all. Yes, I always try to defy conventional expectations at every turn, and then some. No, it not a pastiche, but rather a pasticcio.

You certainly are putting out a lot of great stuff recently John.  I love the wonderful "big" sound of this one.  I am not hearing the concerns that are mentioned in some of the comments above.  I guess that is where my ignorance of technical stuff and a crummy sound system is bliss.  It lets me enjoy this super sounding song.
