Air has released free updates for all titles.
Changes:
  • Support for Virtual Instrument Player version 1.1.
  • Installer improvements.
  • Other performance tweaks for issues reported in last update.
Update installers are available on their website. Note you must be running the last version first. Much older versions must be updated by using the full installer.

Thanks Larry. The Virtual Instrument Player (VIP) mentioned is the software for the Akai Pro Advance keyboards for those of you who have Air products but not the Akai.

These AIR Instruments are highly underrated...

No, they are not the best...but they certainly aren't bad...

True dat ! I got Expand, Loom, Vacuum Pro, Velvet, Transfuser and Hybrid with 2 expansion packs with my Akai. There is a whole lot there along with the VIP software. It was like getting a whole new Komplete package. They are not the best but they are big league instruments. If you can't make music with them guess who's fault it is?

I got Xpand with Pro Tools...there are very usable sounds in it...

Trudat. Velvet is a fine EP.
Loom is quite original, bell-like with a nice GUI.
Vacuum Pro is a monster synth and Xpand a great rompler. And then there's Hybrid for interesting layers and Transfuser for some EDM.
Also, Strike for drumming and Structure as a 40 gig sampler.

There's enough new stuff there I just might be able to hold off until Komplete 11 Ultimate

their STUPID installers are HORRIBLE... to a point where I had to uninstall my AV to install their stuff.
do ILOK not check that their stuff causes issues with AV ? obviously not

I bought em as a bundle.. notice they are a bit too "happy" with upgrade charges and if I knew they were part of "inmusic" I would not have bought them, due to having "fun" with m-audio/avid

sound wise, ok for the price.. but their support was unhelpful also.

when you get really stupid installers that punish you for buying em and being a LEGIT customer , its a bad omen for me.

What was the problem, Fog, didn't they just install over the old versions?

nope, and I had to uninstall my a/v firewall.. it's a driver I think ilok installs at boot time.. thing is my av see's it as potential malware and blocks it, even with the AV disabled briefly

you have to run the installer again to uninstall it.. to put the new one in.. tried just using the new installer and it flipped me the bird.

so to update, have to go online without av/firewall to get it to deal with ilok.. otherwise it cries off about no net connection. I run a lot of synths, and have easily 60-80+ on the pc (I lost count, and maybe it's the 32/64 versions BOTH showing :) ).. and it's easily the worst installers by a mile.. it's like punishing users for being legit.. and yer I have other dongles like steiny / propellerheads that aren't so GRIM and they just work. I know some folk here are anti dongle etc.. but this just really makes it a pain to install.

it is  AVID support??, I'd have avoided it by a mile.. their "don't care" attitude stunk when I had a 1010LT and various other m-audio bits.
