I had the early access version.  I just rolled back to the 07 version, deleted the early access version on disc.  Then started the update and it downloaded the current version.

I think the EA version IS the new version.  Mine, after check for updates, went green...so 
that means it's current.

Note that at the end of his announcement, Lance specifically mentions for EA people to manually download the rebuild as it contains "important" content not in the EA release.

Im guessing the demo projects? ...but maybe TH3 stuff as well with the 30th Anniversary release this month?

I just manually ran the rebuild installer and will now re-run c3 to see what it reports and possibly get the ca-x stuff too?

I noticed the Boutique Amps needing updating. Guess this was for the TH3 updates?
 
...and very happy to see I was not forced to download and keep the Demo projects as they are listed seperately. I doubt I have any need/use for them...
 
 

Few nice things but as always after new update work to back to my own already set things. 
 
Preferences changed view from advanced to basic.
My basic template has been overwritten and I got unusable thing instead what I have set.
 
Also workflow regression at start screen. Before I could just click new project and got my basic template loaded. Now need additionally pick from list and then give a name...
 
Annoying...
 
But nothing compares to deletion of my own basic template... Something what no program should ever do without confirmation... It seems I have lost my shortcuts as well...

You can open a new project at any time, with the start screen open or closed, without having to name it or create a folder by typing Ctrl+N. Ctrl+O works similarly. Please read the eZine for details, especially for how to use Ctrl+N when you want to have multiple SONAR projects open simultaneously. 
 
As to your template, I'll install 2017.08 my main computer and see what happens. On the office computer I'm using now, I moved all my existing templates to a different folder to see which six templates SONAR installed. 

Talk about "burying the lead" in the OP above, about how to download the official August release.   You have to scroll down to the end of the post to find out you can't get the release through CCC, only from the website.  That information should at least be in a separate post, which includes the info in the title.
(Btw, My CCC was blank too when I first opened it.)

How about a little explanation as to why this was done?  Why was the Early Release and the actual version given the same release number  (except for the "rebuild 2" part)  And why can't it be downloaded from the CCC. (Something that Cakewalk has drilled into our heads....always get your updates from CCC)

Will it eventually be made available on the CCC?  Many folks don't check Facebook or this forum as much as some people do.  They rely on what the Command Center tells them is the latest release.  So what's the story?

Sorry for the confusion about downloading the latest public version. We experienced a late breaking issue with one of our systems that would have created significant delays in the release should we have updated the build number. For the most part the public release is very similar to what was published in EA. There are content changes within the latest build that all users should get especially those using a localized OS.
 
Content changes from EA:
- Updated Start Screen files
- Updated Template content
- Updated localization support for all languages
- TH3 Cakewalk edition is now included in the core of all SONAR flavors

Lance, your website is vast, how about a link to the downloads for us unwary ER'ers ?

What`s with BoutiqueFXSuiteSetup_1.0.1.20 ? only 35.3 MB compared to BoutiqueFXSuiteSetup_1.0.1.19 which was 237 MB, some of the Nomad Factory plugins removed?
