Apologies for not being clearer.
When there are volume (or pan, or anything) readings giving unexpected results, it’s always worth checking that nothing has been altered in offset mode. I can’t remember what the button looks like and I’m not in Sonar just now, but you can look up ‘offset mode’ in the help section.

 Ok, I get it, i toggled between offset mode and all is same.

I had a similar issue in the past when opening old sessions from a previous version of Sonar into the latest version of Sonar Platinum. Once I turned the tracks gain knobs off of zero and back again, the track volume was back to normal. After re-saving the session, everything stayed properly working.

I got all faders to - infinity and then back to 0 and it is still like it was.

I'm not taking about the volume faders... I had to change the track Gain... one of the places it is located is the track inspector... also try changing the Gain knob back and forth on the Master fader and Busses as well in the mixer window.

 Right I got it. Thanks,  but it was not gain knob.
 
And finally I found it, jesus, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. It was a metronome that somehow was not audible yet adding to the total gain. I rebooted Windows, restarted Sonar and all of a sudden it was obvious that extra gain is a metronome (in my case its a kick drum). Why it was not audible in a first place is a mystery.

The metronome sound has a bug and the fix is normally you toggle the Effects bins bypass.
