Normally I would apologize for getting Rapture Pro but then I remembered I Am NO LONGER MARRIED!!!

Wow everything really is faster! My congrats to the Sonar Team!

Pretty much the only plug-in on my list - I've been meaning to upgrade ever since that Dimension/Rapture combo was announced but I've procrastinated for so long that at this point I figured I might as well wait for a possible Black Friday sale.

I'm really impressed. The interface is very nice and easy to work with

Also, now everything loads faster in Sonar.

I love this upgrade

This is also on my wish list (dirt cheap wish list :0)......I just updated to Kingston last night, but haven't fired up Sonar yet.
I noticed there was a Z3ta 2 and Rapture? (or was it Dim Pro...can't remember) update, but it looked like a full install (large content amount)......I already had these on my system before the update, so I'm not quite sure what exactly got installed.
Good to hear Rapture Pro is quick and easy to work with.....I always really liked Rapture and if you guys don't have the Muz3um presets from Patch Arena, you really need to get them (FREE!!).

Ps. There's also free presets for Z3ta 2.

Well pro's can certainly be a comfort to a recently non-married fellow accustomed to getting it for free, but "satisfying" is about the best you can expect. "Rapture" would be unusual unless you are getting serviced by a really high priced hooker, and even then might require some heavy recreational drugs.

There - couldn't resist. $53 is a pretty awesome deal, considering how much I've used both Dimension Pro and Rapture in my music in the past, and how I miss them since my upgrade to Logic X last year.

So that's it... I've spent $53 on plug-ins in the last +1 year. :)

How do you like it, Rain? The presets list is really weird here but I have mainly made my own sounds with it. It's really good for that, but I can't seem to get the expansion packs sorted. No biggie, I'm still happy with it

I haven't really played with it much yet - I downloaded and installed the whole thing while I was reading a book and merely just verified that it ran properly, that a couple of my go to sounds were in there and checked out the interface. Presets seemed to be alright, though I need to look further into it because I had a couple of add-ons which I have yet to import into it.

Rant on:

I was pretty annoyed when I realized that I had to download that Command Center thingie to authorize it. Seems like every piece of software these days requires you to install another piece of software to maintain the manufacturer's illusion that their software is not used illegally. Which is another reason why I use as few 3rd party plugs as possible.

Of course, that superfluous software needs to be maintained as well. Or then they decide to reinvent the wheel, like Waves did recently. That way, they made copy protection the paying customer's problem and annoyed everyone - except illegal users.

As far as I'm concerned, everything should be distributed and authorized through the app store and the Windows equivalent. More and more, if they can't be bothered to do that, I can't be bothered to buy.

Rant off.

Those who paid the full price ended up wasting a feck of a lot of time getting it to work/beta testing. You bypassed all of that, assuming time is money then the saving is huge.

Wonderful rant, my friend ;) I agree to all of your points here. But those managing softwares seem to behave pretty well on my system so I stopped being irritated by it. But I do find it to be better than serials and challenge/response varieties. Having it done through App Store (Win and OSX), now that is a great idea! But I don't think it will happen since that means they'd have to sell it through the app stores, requiring the plug in makers to abandon 30% of their income to the owners of the app stores - or make the plugs 30% more expensive to buy.

The preset list is still weird here. I'm thinking of just deleting everything and reinstall to see if it works. It's just so much work to do :0 But then again, I make my own presets mostly. Although, it would be good to have a browse through the Christmas patches we were given a few years ago ;)
