Hello, all!

I installed the "2017.8" update for Sonar Platinum yesterday and today, I am trying to recording audio from an external source (an mp3 file on an Internet site) onto an Audio Track (which I regularly do). I have done nothing different with my hardware (Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 interface). Before the update, I was able to record whatever audio that was coming into my audio device. Today (with 2017.8) I arm my Audio Track, click the Record Button and get a Flat Line. Anything come to mind quickly?

Thanks!

I'm not having the same problem.
For trouble shooting...
1. Check the input from the interface on the track.
2. Try turning on input echo and check to make sure you've got signal coming through.

Thanks for the reply and sorry I see your post earlier. It seems it may be a Windows 10 issue. I swapped out my Audio Interfaces and tried all of my Audio Recording Software. I can not record what I'm hearing into any DAW (Sonar and Reaper) or Audio Editor (Wave Lab and CyberLink Wave Editor)

I think "what you hear" doesn't work with anything other than Windows drivers.

With Focusrite, it's been my experience the track inputs aren't matching the Focusrite I/O routing software setup.

It's possible one can here what's playing if monitoring from the headphone/monitor out or other output even (factory setting is monitor is active) but if the Sonar track input doesn't correspond to an active output from Focusrite, nothing's recorded.

I usually have the Focusrite software open while I'm setting up recording and save a snapshot linked to the project.
