Beamer aka Guy Lafleur.

Maybe our other puppy will give the cats a break, now that she has a buddy. :)

Totally adorable. Can a petting zoo be far behind?? :-)

Let's see: 8 cats, 2 dogs, 2 mice, 2 sugar gliders, 1 hedgehog and 1 bearded dragon... I think we're pretty much there.

In all honesty, if I had a normal, 40 hours/week job away from home, we couldn't manage.

Sounds like a fun place on the holidays at home! Congrats on the addition Rain!

I can't imagine being around that many animals!  We only have one here, my roommates dog (and my little buddy), Corbin.  It takes all of us to wear him out (though he does like to sleep past noon)!

He loves to sleep in my bed so he can be near me.

Beamer's breed cannot be trained. Hide your shoes.

PS - I would have gone with Guy LaFleur. Reminds me of the mountain lion named Steve French from the Trailer Park Boys.

He's a 7 year old rescue, so we didn't get much say in the choice of a name. But I always thought Guy Lafleur was the best possible name for this breed, I "extended" his name.

He's pretty much a lap dog, very quiet. Gets along w/ cats. Needs to make an extra effort to handle Astrid who's crazy as heck, but he does good so far. He is crate trained and all.

As for the rest, the house is already pet-proofed, for the most part.

I'm a dog lover and all the dogs are so cute in this thread
A question has arisen that I have to ask …
Rain , you mentioned you have a hedgehog . What's it like having a hedgehog ?

The hedgehog is more my wife's pet - she'd wanted to adopt one for years. I don't care much for it to be honest with you. It's hilarious to watch him rolling in his dustbath and he is cute, but, that's about it.

It's a nocturnal creature. He likes to run in his wheel at night - and he tends to do his business while running in there, so we have to clean that wheel up every day. It's actually pretty incredible how much stuffing there is in such a tiny creature.

Ours is a bit grumpy, maybe that's why I don't really bond with it. But my wife likes it.
