Even though I play Guitar (not my first language) I'm thinking of getting Electri6ity for songs that uses chords that I have not quite mastered. I can handle majors, 7ths and minors, but throw a Bflat 7sus4 at me and my fingers run away from the fretboard and onto the keyboard, my 1st language.

I have several soft instruments that work quite well with Kontact 5. The vendors I have looked at state that Electri6ity comes with Kontact 4. I'm assuming the software would work with a later version like K5, but I want to make sure before I buy.

Anybody using Electri6ity successfully with Kontact 5?

Thanks,

Walt

Hi Wally.
As far as I remember, if it worked in Kontakt 4, it'll work in 5.
I don't have Electri6ity but I do have a few 3rd party guitar modules I purchased and migrated them to k5.
They all work fine.
Let me know how you like it.  I've been eyeing that one for a while now.

Electri6ity works fine in Kontakt 5.  no problems.

Electri6ity is kinda dated now, though it works fine there are other products in the market place that have more features and sound much better.

I fine Electri6ity not being used that much, I find it cumbersome.

I use OrangeTree Strawberry or steel, 8dio libraries or Indiginus libraries.  Or a real guitar.

Thanks for all the inputs! I'll be receiving the Electri6ity software today and will try using it with Kontact 5. The reason I chose Electri6ity over others (I knew that it was out for awhile) is that I had purchased Acou6tics Guitar and really like the performance and features. I found it easy to use and program. The demos and reviews influenced my decision.

Thanks again.

well I hope you like your purchase.  Acou6tics is their latest product with all the bells and whistles that should have been in Electri6ity but aren't there.

Make sure you grab the 1.1 update and library update - big download.  fixes some problems with scripting in Kontakt and fixes some samples that were messed up.  critical updater.

MachineClaw,

I installed Electri6ity succesfully, activated it and it seems to work okay. I then went to the Service Center and found the 1.1 update. I downloaded it and a folder was installed on my desktop. Following the instructions I replaced the 1.0 instruments folder (actually I moved it to a folder labeled 1.0) with the 1.1 instruments folder. After moving the Electri6ity_info.nkx file to the 1.0 folder, I replaced with the 1.1 version.

When I opened Kontact 5 the module for Electri6ity was there, but the logo was absent. When I tried to load an instrument, it said files were missing.

I restored the 1.0 version and now every works okay.

I downloaded the update again and got the same results. Any ideas?

have you checked the NI service center and tried to download 1.1 from there?

I can't remember where I downloaded the 1.1 updater form but I did have to do it a couple of times.

I have it on a HD and it is 220,245 MB total zip file.

mine loads in Kontakt and I can load an instrument and play it - I can't seem to see any version number on the interface anywhere but I do see the electr6ity logo etc.

Contact VIr2?  don't know what to tell ya.

Thanks for the response. I did download 1.1 from the NI Service Center (twice). I'll try contacting VIR2.
