I guess your math hyperbole was meant as a joke too and please don't assume you "know" what makes a reply you deem defensive interpreted that way.  I simply replied with some examples.

There wouldn't be as much desktop development if it weren't for the popularity of mobile products.  We wouldn't make them if people didn't want them (and you can see almost all of the MI companies jumping in, we were just there a lot earlier than most).  I know it doesn't fit your specific workflow but it does fit the bill for many.

Personally...iDon't care...

Your company has shown repeatedly where they stand...
believe me...we get it...

And I know "sarcasm" when I read it Pete...seriously...that's the dumbest thing
you've ever said....there certainly was "no assumption"...

Don't want to get in the middle of things here but that was a quite unflattering remark for a company representative to make! No matter how un-funny the joke was. Before you start, I have bought in to Amp 3, 4, Sampletank 3 and just signed up for Miroslav 2 so I do like the products but it concerns me when I see responses from someone who represents IK. Highly unprofessional, just an opinion. Now I'll shut up!

As the starter of this thread, I would still like to know if IKMultimedia has plans to release AmpliTube Acoustic for computer DAWs.  I really like the features and would consider purchasing it for computer use.  BTW, I also just signed up for Miroslav2, and already own Amplitube 4, Fender Collection, ST3, T-Racks (everything), as well as all the ST2 collections.  I started this thread just to see if IKM has plans to release the Acoustic amp sim for DAWS.

True, sometimes Peter gets a bit highly strung, but that's quite understandable if you read everything that gets thrown at him in some forums.
Anyhow, what Bit and Larry wrote was all in good humor. Luckily this forum doesn't get as awkward as GearSlutz or KVR sometimes ...

IKM is dedicated to supporting all the relevant platforms: iPod, iPad, iPhone, iSpeakNSpell.

Yes with the recent libraries for ST3, AmpliTube 4, and Miroslav Philharmonik 2 we're clearly abandoning the desktop platform.

Just yankin' your chain, man.

Although it is a bit of a mystery as to why iOS versions come out sooner than PC and Mac implementations.

It's certainly not because iOS is an easier environment to code in, or that an iPhone is a friendlier platform. But given the potential for seriously big money and sparser competition in the portable space, it makes perfect sense that IKM places more value on that market than its traditional niche. I for one completely understand and wish you continued success.

Let's just drop the pretense that the types of products we are interested in are still on Page One of IK's business plan. Most of us will be OK with that.

As the OP and jbow have asked, what's up with a computer version?

I am also interested in development for the acoustic DAW version!

BTW, Amp 3 was pretty good until I, too, got the Fender Collection. Then the whole game changed. I have used and own Fender Amps for going on 50 years and IK's collection comes as close as I have heard. Also got the Jimi Hendrix with the Fender in the last group buy if I remember correctly. Still like TH2 very much though.
