What I would like to do is simply select a section of a MIDI track(s) and delete it so that everything to the right slides left. Is this possible or am I stuck with selecting everything on the right and manually dragging or sliding it left? Doing it this way is a real PITA, especially when I want to move every MIDI track.

That sounds like the answer I was looking for, but I can't find the option for "ripple edit". The instructions say "Click the Track view Options menu and select Ripple Edit Selection or Ripple Edit All."  I'm looking in the upper left corner of the track view, where there is a row of menus that say View, Options, Tracks, Clips, MIDI, and Region FX. I look on the Options menu, but there is nothing there about ripple editing. Am I just looking in the wrong place or what? I'm using version 2017.1 if that makes any difference.

That certainly explains why I can't find it. I guess I'm stuck doing it the hard way for until I start paying for upgrades again. BTW, it's not actually as difficult as I thought it would be.
