Here is a free link to my 8th symphony for virtual instruments, including the study score.
This work is recorded on my 12th CD release, I am offering it without charge to Sonar users.

This work is not an 18th or 19th century imitation of the symphonic form, nor is it a film score attempting to capture the listener's emotions without engaging the intelligence through musical development.

I hope you enjoy it, if you have questions, please ask!

Wow Jerry, this is an awesome gift to the community.  Thanks so much for your generosity.  I sincerely hope that some of the more classical/orchestral minded composers hanging around here give it some real study.  As for me, I'm more of a rock or electronica guy, but I can at least appreciate what you've offered.  Well, to some extent!  Most of it is way over my head. :)

And by the way, your 8th symphony is beautiful and inspiring.  You are a gifted composer!  Truly awesome.

One thing I want to mention is that I did have some minor technical difficulty with your music player widget on your website.  The "location handle" position isn't aligning with its visual location, making it difficult to (re)listen to a specific area of a song.  I'm using Firefox, in case that is a factor.  That being said, I was able to listen just fine as long as I didn't try to reposition the play head.

Jerry, Very nice virtual instrumental experience for sure. Enjoyed all four movements. Great textures, voices and instrumentation. Great composition, arrangement and production. Really enjoyed this a lot.

Peace and Blessings, John

One thing is for sure: you do know how to write! Man. Enough to make me not even want to try another orchestral piece.

Oh, I don't want to have that effect on musicians, there was a time when I didn't have the skills to do this either!   We build skills by writing, writing and writing.   Piece after piece after piece.  There is no other way, there are no short cuts.  All the computer and software gear in the universe is not going to create imagination, sensitivity to harmonics, technique and authentic confidence that comes from honest labor.
I hope my work inspires others to see what's possible with today's fantastic digital musical instruments.
