These guys make some really creative instruments! Can't justify the cost for something so specialized, but cool none the less. I really like Signal and it helped me create a song... :)

Output is starting to get on my nerves.  Not that their stuff is not interesting or good sounding...but, to me, most of their "new cutting edge" releases are just sample players and arpeggiators with cool GUIs that look like a computer screen you'd see in a new hyper-action movie that Morgan Freeman would be staring at quietly saying "Oh My God!!" or something.  I especially like the parts where the one "producer" says "I love this f-ing thing" and then later the same guy can be seen bobbing his head to the music while he stares at the screen.  Now that gave me a chuckle.

Would you feel differently if they were $89 instruments?

That seems like where they should be to me...

200 bucks for ooh/aah samples and a sequencer? I'd pass on that one even at $89.

Then again, I have never heard anything like it before, so what do I know?

I'd bet that Output will follow the path of other vendors using the latest pricing paradigm and price high then fairly regularly have drastic sales. The high price is to attract the Pro crowd I suppose but if that's the case nothing should be priced under $500 semolians not even a bleep, bloop or plink.

But...but you're a Pro. Does that mean you won't be buying it because it's obviously too cheap to be a Pro product?
