So unless you have a large (around 100) track count it looks like the i3 is coping OK. That has been my observation as well. My track count is low and my instrument count is very low (Typically only 1-5). That is why I can still use my OLD i3!

Sonar doesn't play MP3s. All tracks are converted to wav files on import.
