Did as described, but still the same problem.
And i have not reinstalled the iLok now....

I have never had any problems with the iLok before, the former version just stopped
to work yesterday... this is a pain i cant use my iLok plugins now.

Plz dont tell me i have to reinstall windows from scratch again and all the software to make it work again...
that will take me at least a whole day to do..

[ EDIT ] i restarted my computer and it seems to work now, question is why ?

Continued:
When you install the update it undoes the "delayed start" thing so you have to redo it after the update.
If it is still not running go to the  "Pace License Services" and if status is not "running"  select "start".
You may need to reboot a few times after that.

Thanks for pointing that out. I would not have noticed.

I've never been able to get the dongle to work on my Dell XPS, Win7 nor Win10. The only reason I keep this POS app installed is that UVI allows you to license to your PC or the dongle. I've not had a problem with the "to PC" part, just the farging dongle.

One of these days, Imma gonna plug that sucka back in and see what happens.

iLok's a pain in the a$$!
The only thing I'll "lose" when it quits working is my FG-X; and (unfortunately) good riddance!
(Slate can have his "free" introduction to the new subscription program; I'm not interested!)
When the FG-X quits working, or pleasing me, the iLok goes with it!
Just my nickel 98 for the day...

Answer: ILM is only started at windows start-up. It has one chance to run at startup. if something prevents ILM from running at start-up it won't run nor will anything try to start it again except for a reboot.

You can manually start ILM by going to services/Pace License manager and clicking on "start". The status should be "running" if it is indeed running and blank if it is not running.

From my observations: If something is running when ILok License manager (ILM) tries to start, such as a windows update, graphics card update, virus checker, etc, the ILM won't start. This is where the delayed startup helps.
You need to wait for the computer to finish doing the update, virus scan, whatever it was doing, then reboot and ILM should run.

I share your ILok frustration!
Every day I turn on the computer and ponder the thought of finding a dead  ILok dongle and all my software licenses gone. I won't pay the darn 30 dollars per year insurance; it is too much. Maybe 5 dollars a year would be reasonable.

I am really liking the FG-X (thanks to recommendations on this forum). It can add some transients back to the mix and make the mix less squashed. It's not good for all material, though. Works best with loud rock.

I disagree even with that.
