I've been chomping at the bit to get a new "silver bullet" for the plug in vault. I was saved by Bitflipper. Thank you so much Dave. I just ran your inventory app for XL and looked at the result. I'm cured. Things showed up on the list that I didn't know I'd installed. If you get sleepy reading a listing of your plugs, you have enough, and so do I.

They (the Beatles) dropped a microphone into a bucket of water.

I think it was during the tracking of either Yellow Submarine or Octopus's Garden.  Lucky he didn't electrocute himself.

Just popped in to give this thread credibility.

Waves said I just needed One Knob to make great records. Anyone got Kanye West's number?

For me to use every imaginable combination of my VST/VSTi collection.

And that is calculated on mixing one song per hour 24/7 non stop.

I REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY need to stop buying this stuff.

So did you get around to auditioning all of those samples you bought from Loop Loft?

Remember when Cakewalk said all you needed was SONAR to make great records?

They were right, of course. But shortly after they started hawking third-party plugins.

I think it might be time for an intervention?

Bapu, how many mornings do you wake up underneath a VST Bridge, shaking from withdrawals and willing to do anything, such as an honest day's work at your job, to buy another hit... maker plugin, with your own hard earned cash? Hmmm???

HOW MANY?!! 😲

They (the Beatles) dropped a microphone into a bucket of water. Lennon wanted to be suspended from a rope and spun around the microphone (until Mr. Martin told him about Leslies). They recorded pianos at half-speed and then played them back at normal speed. The flipped tapes over and played them in reverse. They cut up tapes and spliced them back together again. They took LSD.

You bet they'd have used VSTs and VSTis if it had been an option.

Now, I doubt they'd have had 15 EQs and 27 compressors and 6 limiters and 9 reverbs. They got too much done in too short a time to have had that many distractions.

bitflipper . . . you always make me laugh . . . and yes it's true, the Beatles had way less distractions.
They were very much interested in experimentation, and did that experimenting with the technology (and drugs)available at the time. The VST circus that's available today would surely have been a serious distraction for them.

Stop the earth from spinning for a moment - I want off.

[Sorry Baps - couldn't help but chime in on this one 'knob tool' even though it's off topic.]
