As a celiac myself, and someone who will go into a condition similar to Anaphylactic shock if I ingest above a certain amount of gluten, I find this completely insulting, and absolutely abhorrent to be making fun of a condition which is very real, and in extreme cases can even be fatal. Those of us who are unlucky enough to have this condition, have it through no fault of our own, and yet we are ridiculed like this because of that ?
Perhaps I should start on about all the people who use pictures of themselves pretending that they are some kind of rock star, when in fact all they are are dime a dozen wannabe's ?
WTH? He's making fun of people who
pretend to be gluten intolerant. It is made abundantly clear and even stated at the very beginning of the video.
No one ridiculed you or the condition you suffer from. Actually I sincerely doubt that you or anyone who is genuinely affected would behave anything like the guy in that video. And I sincerely doubt that anyone who watches this video will start making fun of the unfortunate people who suffer.
If you assume that this guy and the people who watch the video make fun of your condition, I'm sorry for you.
As for your rock star comment, I fail to see how it has anything to do with anything or anyone involved into discussion.
If it's a shot at me, well thanks - I love that picture, but it owes
everything to the brilliant photographer who took the picture, a great artist. Her work has that "rock star" quality.
Otherwise, I've been around here for over a decade - people know me and know enough about me to know that I'm no rock star and I never pretended to be. But I do play music.
