I tried gluten free, I really did. The Foods for Life flax bread is pretty good but the texture just got to me after a while. I now try to not eat much bread and have gone the Pepperidge Farms Ancient Grains bread, it has gluten as did the FOL bread but the FOL is made with no flour but with sprouted grains that have things that help you process gluten.
I just missed my Nathan's hot dogs (with slaw). I've cut back more on potatoes and sugar in general. If you don't have a sensitivity and use moderation, you'll generally be fine. Less refined foods and less sugar. Don't eat biscuits every morning, just common sense. I've lost weight and feel better... but I just cannot go "all in" on any diet unless I have some condition that absolutely makes me, life is hard enough already. Enjoying food makes life better.
My cat pretty much eats meat and it seems to work well for her. Owsley Stanley was on a meat only diet for decades and was healthy until he ran off the road and wrecked his car.
Do what you have to do if your sick, try to enjoy life and not get sick but life IS short... enjoy it if you can.
