Correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't you just be using the VST version of Waves Tune as opposed to the Rewire version? That way you can just bypass/delete the VST if you want to revert to the original.
What was the answer to this, please? Can Waves Tune be used in SONAR Platinum as a VST3 plugin? The Waves list of supported DAWs does not include SONAR.
It does not work fully. Waves lists those hosts that work.
I tried a couple of years ago - and you can get Tune to scan.
If Waves rewire was loaded on a track - message that no connection disappeared - but it does not really work.
I could position of a few places - edit - and then render and it worked.
But you usually want to listen through a passage in a loop over and over and listen to what you did - that does not work. And something with position on timeline clicking from Tune(I think it was) did nothing - so navigating is a pain.
It's not really usable in Sonar - at the time two/three years ago when I tried.
Otherwise I use Tune for many things. Convert audio to midi - so I get notation in a smooth way later etc. If doing on bass line, I used Waves Ultrapitch to transpose audio one octave and could do midi from that too with Tune.
