So, I was updating some of my programs on Platinum, then I thought about exactly where they are going.  Yes, I saw the Paths tab, but I still wasn't sure what was going where.  For instance, the local ref manual, a 450Meg file (WHEW! Must cover Genesis as well.), exactly where does that go, on C:\, or the other path? Thanks.

I assume you're asking about the installers that get downloaded and then run...those go into wherever you specify in the Download Path setting in CCC.
 
I forget what the default value originally was, as the first time I ran the utility I switched the download location to my D: drive so they wouldn't be written to C:, which is an SSD.
 
BTW, those installer executables never get deleted from that folder, so if you're looking to clear off some disk space, you might want to get rid of them. OTOH, if space is not an issue keeping them around means you can very quickly reinstall a product without having to download the installer again.
