Apparently the NEW Sonar will be on display at NAMM 2016 in January!

Cakewalk will be exhibiting at NAMM this year in the Gibson booth (300A - 3rd floor). We will be showing off the latest and greatest Cakewalk products including the new SONAR Platinum. Visit either booth to get one-on-one demos, answers to your questions, and watch live presentations.

Read about it here...

Of course, it will probably arrive before that...

Subject title misleading. No mention of a 'Sonar 2016'. They just mention the latest version, and apparently it is a monthly cycle.

2016 is when it will be shown

That's how I read the title.

Some may :) How about 'Sonar in NAMM 2016'?

The OP also states 'Apparently the NEW Sonar' rather than 'the new SONAR Platinum' although later it's mentioned and clarified...

The year designation no longer applies...it's just "Sonar Platinum"
and therefore WILL be the NEW version, but it may only be the
DECEMBER or January iteration of the updates...but, nonetheless,
will be NEW...

Pro Tools IS going to a "Year" designation, as I already
have a license for Pro Tools 2016....

So why 'Sonar 2016' in the subject.

Anyway let's hope people don't speed read threads, or skip posts, of course that never happens :)

It's going to be IN 2016....seems obvious to me...but
I can see where it might be misleading...

Then subject title would be 'Sonar in 2016' :)

Being accurate would seem to be worthwhile since many people still ask questions about their subscription though it has been said many times there is no sub. It will be interesting to see what happens when we hit the one year period. It would be reasonable to think there may be some kind of "pot sweetener" to get you to reup at the year mark. I thought I might wait 1 or 2 months then go again and I bet I'm not the only one.
