Well, the chord work is beautiful  The vocals seem to have a very "bright" mix.  Nice harmonies.  You need to hear what some of the guys up here have to say because this is a beautiful tune and needs to be done to it's full potential.  Great guitar work!

The rhythm and lead guitars sound fantastic.  I kind of like the vocal treatment, but it does sound a bit unnatural.  Not sure if that's what you were going for.
 
I think the percussion tracks could come up a little bit, and maybe could use a bit more bottom end.

The vox could well be too bright as my old ears are likely needing the boost to hear the highs (and lows).
Wondering if that's the "unnatural" note means? EQ? Or is it the take didn't seem "real" or inspired?
More bottom is a good point. Perhaps a bass is needed. I was going for simple singer/songwriter/acoustic but I tend to over complicate things.
 

As noted the vox sounds bright perhaps some high cut on the verb might bring it back some.

Excellent melody, harmonies, and songwriting. I'm listening through H-phones and I also agree with what Walt says about bringing up the percussion and especially the bottom end. This demo has very good potential. Very nice Glenn.

Acoustic works for me.  I believe the bottom they're looking for would be helped by the eq on the voice.  Do you record the vocal straight in or do you effect it before recording?

By "unnatural" vocal treatment, I meant that it sounds a bit distorted, probably due to overemphasis of the high freqs, followed by compression (which further de-emphasizes the other freqs).  Almost sounds like you're singing through a bullhorn, although not nearly as extreme as that.  Maybe back off on whatever EQ you're adding and let the natural frequencies do more of the work.
 
As for the percussion and bass, my thought was that the percussion itself needs more bass frequencies, not that the song needs bass guitar.  But of course it's your song. :)  I think regardless of whether you add a bass track, I'd still suggest adding more bottom end EQ to the percussion.  Right now they sound like you ran them through a HPF set at around 1k. ;)  I say let 'em fly!

The vox is my SM7b with no boost or cut on the mic.
The controller has COSM fx but I have reduced that to just a 4:1 "limiter" and noise suppression (Thres = 80, release =16)
That's it tho. The EQ is boosted a few db at 1200 and 3500 and cut at 800 and HP at 200, LP 10K
The 1200k is likely the bullhorn sound you are hearing?

The reverb issue is a good point (I've just started using it more creatively -blend vs sustain vs pan ) and I admit I'm in the middle of a learning curve on the subject.
Rolling off various verb freqs is yet to be used tho I have read about it and likely the main culprit .
 
 

When you listen to the "naked" vocal track (without any effects), does it sound natural, like you're listening to yourself in the room at close range?  Or are there problems with the sound that you need to fix with some EQ?  Maybe you don't need any mid-range EQ at all.  How does it sound if you remove the EQ modifications at 800, 1200, and 3500?
 
Also, as you mentioned above, it's possible the reverb is adding significant color.  Maybe, as a test, see how it sounds without the vocal reverb.  If your frequencies are back to normal then you should consider using some different reverb settings, or even a different reverb effect altogether.
