  • Track numbers that stay visible when scrolling up and down console view and stacked input

With many tracks and limited view space when thing I have found annoying is I can see the track number to verify the track I want to control.  There should always be the track name and number visible all the time at the bottom of the console view when having multiple views open. Is there a setting to make this happen? If not then this should be added into as a possible setting.
Plus it would be nice to have stacked input in to a track or have a controller track for each instrument for I have different controllers that I would like to send just in one input and not use omni
I use Akai VIP on an Advance 49, Launch control xl and Axiom control and Novation 49sl mkii for different functions.

It's called a second Monitor to view the console view by itself.

That's how most of use who are using desktop computer view Sonar.  If you are using a laptop there are dual out VGA cables that that will provide you with the same access to two monitors as well.

I couldn't take the old single view of Sonar with the console view at the bottom while I wanted to see the tracking view also, so I just sold my Single monitor and got a pair of matching Dell 24 inch monitors.   The price of monitors are so cheap now that you can afford to buy two 24 inch monitors for about $99.00 each.  I shop at Microcenter and pick up in 20 minutes later.   If there isn't one in your city, you can always order on line.

What version of Sonar are you using?  If I understand your post correctly, I believe this feature was added in the 2016.05 update.

As far as I remember, there was nothing to configure.  The feature just became available post 2016.05.  Are you sure you have Artist, Professional or Platinum.

Great catch, promid,

One of the things that bothered me was the inability to see track names and numbers while in the Console view at the bottom of the single screen.  This was one of the reason I went to Dual Monitors a while back.

Since using the dual monitor view, I never knew this update was added to Sonar.  I was always able to see the full console.     I know I am a little late, but thanks Bakers for the update !!

MCMahon48,

Make sure your console is not in full view, but make the Windows half of the screen or place it back in the dock if it is not currently docked and you will see it as you scroll vertically in the console view.
