Super.

To be honest I don't think you're missing much apart from the demo packs which we already have access to as BFD3 users but still, nice to keep up to date.

Indeed...I always keep everything up to date (at least try to)

I have to say...Eco sounds way better then AD, EZD...IMO....LMNOP

I just went to the DL area and this update is listed as a Public beta. Since I don't use Eco I will probably just leave it be. I did DL the recent Public Beta of BFD3 though as it is my goto Drum VI.  Will do a system image and then install.

Most of the BFD expansions will work in Eco.

Most fxpansion updates are listed as 'public beta' and always have been, if not they're listed as either major or minor.
It does put people off but I've never had any issues with them, it's just their terminology.

As a beta tester we have our own forum and the updates are posted weeks or months before hand and are listed as, 'private beta's' so public betas just mean they have already been through the beta testing process.

I was going to say,  "the BFD3 demo packs are in the new BFDLAC format and so they will only work in BFD3"

But, I just checked the BFD Eco demo cache and they are also in BFDLAC format so this must surely mean that Eco 1.7.0.5 can read the new format?

Will have to ask the bakers but they didn't mention it on the eco forum.

Have just discovered that, 'nearly' all my expansion kits are loading and working in the new BFDLAC format so if you have any expansions that you converted to the new format you can point Eco to them and see if it picks them up.

Unfortunately all my the kits in BFD3 format but all the individual kit pieces load in BFD in Eco now.
But it seems the 3rd party ones don't, so can't load the BFD3 kit pieces as they were recorded by Platinum Samples.
Actually, the Chocolate Audio Imperial kits pieces are loading so some 3rd party kits do load.

I would actually have to load the kit pieces and save them in the Eco format to load full kits.
Still, if you have other fxpansion kits you can just point Eco to them and if it doesn't like them it will tell you so ;-)

The new update appears to be finding my Platinum Samples kits ok. In the case of Rock Legends it shows up under the "Kits" tab, and in the case of Evil Drums, they show up under the "Preset" tab.
