Every song can't be your grand opus.  Some are just destined to be "ditties", like this one.  It's a cute little song, with great playing and production, and some clever lyrics.  Nothing wrong with that!

 That said, a lot of my songs are written to be stupid on purpose.

I wrote a Cajun style song a few years ago for a friend's party, and never recorded it... maybe it's time...
 
 
 

I like the song ok. The vocals sound a little ELO ish which doesn't seem well suited to this song in my humble and newbie opinion. The playing and production is your typical high quality work. With the acoustics and fiddle I would like to hear a more organic vocal, but It's your world and vision that counts.

The lyrics are neither profound or stupid... but they are very commercial and this is what you would call a money song with the masses.
 
I like if just fine, it is catchy and very likeable.

Thanks for the feedback Clint... I like ELO, but never listed to much of their music... I know Jeff Linne is a great producer, and an interesting character... I think the problem is..., I don't own a cowboy hat...
