Thank you again Walt if you have the time check out Arturia's range of vintage synths well worth the time.
Thanks for the tip John. As a side note, I have recently been considering changing my MIDI controller, which is currently a
Roland A-500 Pro. I like the feel and response of the key bed, but I'd like to get a 61-key board. Besides that, the drum pads are pretty bad, and the knobs and sliders are kind of small for my hands. Also, I prefer something with a Modulation WHEEL, not the spring-loaded joystick that I've currently got on the Roland board.
Anyway, one of the boards I looked seriously at was the
Arturia Key Lab 61. I really wanted to like it but the key bed felt extremely soft/slushy (implying a lack of quality/durability). That board comes with the
Analog Lab software (normally costs $89), which I thought was a nice selling point. I would consider purchasing that separately if you think it's worthwhile? Or should I hold out for a bigger collection like the
V-Collection, for $399? Which of the Arteria synth packs do you have and would recommend?
