So sorry to hear this. I will miss Jan. Thanks for posting the picture, a picture really is worth 1,000 words. He looks just the way you all knew him face to face describe him.
This is a loss to us all for sure.
Did he leave a wife or any dependents who may have needs?

I'm sorry to hear about this. I only knew Jan through his posts in this forum, but I knew him to be a kind and encouraging soul. I'm glad that his suffering is over, but I'm sad for those left behind. Thanks, Ed, for letting us know. He will be missed.

That is sad news, Ed.
I remember seeing that picture from the restaurant, and thinking how cool it was that you guys were able to get together.
I never had the pleasure of meeting him in person, but he was a friend all the same.
It always hurts to lose a friend.
The coffee house has a very empty chair.

Very sorry to hear this sad news.  Jan was a great guy and one of the nicest people here on the forum.

I never met him in person, but a few years back, he and I had a nice conversation here in the Coffee House about both of us being at the massive Concert 10 Rock Festival (along with about 230,000 other people), and we enjoyed reminiscing about our experiences at that wild, crazy event.

Rest in Peace, Jan, and sincere condolences to his family and friends.

R.I.P. Jan, I'll definitely miss our chats.
