It seems the marketing dept is out of control....not paying attention to how the rest of the world handles new products and upgrades. It's really NOT rocket science, anyone owning the latest version should get a discount compared to brand new users. I won't debate what that should be, but it should at least be a nod to older faithful users of its products.

I don't see any indication that the A4 Deluxe amps, other than the British Collection, are anything other than the old existing A3 models. They are not re-worked versions expressly for A4. I do, however, agree that if the content from A3 has been axed down to what I see that a new customer is going to be putting more money on the table for the same amps we got in A3. I really think the value point for buying A4 is not near as strong as it was for A3, as far as content. This is going to hurt sales I'm sure.
I'm still waiting for the upgrade to get ALL the 29 speakers we were supposed to get. IK said they would fix that. Maybe they will fix this as well. Time will tell. Meanwhile, I wait for the other shoe to drop which will be ALL A3 amps have been re-worked for Hyper-Realistic performance and you will have to re-purchase all amps in the Custom Shop to benefit from A4! I hope it doesn't go that way but I sure suspect something along those lines.

I believe Pete mispoke...those 29 speakers are ONLY available if you own everything OR buy the deluxe Package...
not just in A4...

This is puzzling. I'm not sure what this means. Or is it, "is this really what it seems to be?" I bought A4 but haven't downloaded it yet. This isn't lighting a fire under me.

maybe I am not seeing this clearly correct me if I am wrong.

is Amp 4 Deluxe not just Amp4 with amp3 content?  looks that way to me.

certainly does not contain some of the Custom Shop items like Bottle mic or specialty amps.

why is there not a Amp4 everything bundle. just everything current in CS and all amp3 addons? you know, everything.

I did not upgrade to Amp4.  still waiting it out. this just seems like more of the reasons I wanted to steer clear of IK.

It appears that with IK, there is no longer such a things as an "everything" product. How else would you spend more money with them?

This has been covered elsewhere (I believe elsewhere on this forum, too).  29 speakers were supposed to be unlocked with AmpliTube 4 regardless of what you owned or didn't own before.

This is being fixed (currently being tested) and the update that has all 29 speakers for AmpliTube 4 users (even brand new installs) will be posted in your IK User Area tomorrow as long as there are no blockers with the build.

http://www.ikmultimedia.com/jampoints/ (including a 20 JamPoint bonus for long-time users of AmpliTube who purchased before September 2012) provided a discount for loyal users who wanted to preorder AmpliTube 4.  With JamPoints, users were able to save up to 30% on the already-discounted preorder pricing.

AmpliTube 4 Deluxe is aimed at new users who don't have AmpliTube 3 already (since they'd already have the extra gear).  If you are a new user who preordered but would have ordered AmpliTube 4 Deluxe instead of the AmpliTube 4 preorder, simply contact IK and someone will take care of your request.
